The Parkdale Community Association is currently accepting Sporting Gear Donations. Proceeds from the sale will help support local community events and support KidSport Calgary, who provide grants to help cover the costs of registration fees, as well as providing no-cost equipment so that all kids aged 18 and under in Calgary & Area can play a season of sport.

Broxburn Vegetables has confirmed the Parkdale Farm Stand will be in business another two Saturdays, Sep 12 and Sep 19 from 3 pm to 6 pm. From a farm in Lethbridge County to the Parkdale Community Association rink parking lot - you can't get much more local than that! Let's rally around this City of Calgary initiative and show our support for the Farm Stand program's return next summer.

We are recruiting volunteers for this exciting new community event. Please consider signing up to collect, sort and price gear, set up for the event or work the sale. We need to fill the following shifts between September 14 and 27.

This fall, we’re excited to host a Used Sporting Gear Sale at the community center on September 26 (potentially extending to September 27, depending on availability and weather). It’s a great opportunity to support a good cause while helping keep gently used equipment out of the landfill. We are currently collecting donations of sporting gear for all ages and all seasons. If you have equipment in good working condition that your family has outgrown, please consider passing it

Thus far, our Farm Stand has had a successful inaugural season! And right now is prime growing time. Check out the beautiful produce for sale. Did you see the honey? Plan your weekend BBQ around these locally grown items then drop by the rink parking lot between 3 and 6 pm this Saturday and every Saturday until September 19.

It was a beautiful day last Sunday for our annual Stampede Breakfast. A volunteer crew led by Paula E. and Danij M. fed hundreds of Parkdale and Point McKay residents a breakfast of pancakes, fruit, coffee and juice. Parkdale will be buzzing on the afternoon of Sat, Jun 6. Come to the field at 2:30 pm for the New West Symphony and Chorus Concert in the Community. Then at 3 pm, the Parkdale Farm Stand kicks off with fresh vegetables, eggs, pies and more for sale by Broxburn Vegetables. Oh, and let's not forget YYC Food Trucks, who will be onsite with Family Squeezed Lemonade and Family Cheesed.
